Client File Reviews
Within Francis Clark Tax Consultancy, a periodic review is undertaken of client files to ensure efficient tax planning is being taken at all stages of the client’s tax affairs. This often opens up opportunities for refunds of tax already paid in earlier years, or tax saving measures for the future to be implemented for the client’s benefit.
It has often been discussed with fellow practices we advise through FCTC, whether this is a service we can provide for them at their premises. This provides the opportunity to review a number of files either selected for us, or can be picked at random. The files would then be reviewed to ensure all favourable tax claims, elections and methods are being used to mitigate the individual client’s tax liabilities as much as possible.
Typical examples of beneficial tax planning on a sole trader can be more efficient use of business losses, enhanced capital allowances or expenditure claims and where there are spouses, ensuring best use of personal allowances and maximising use of basic rate tax bands between them.
We are delighted to say that we are now in a position to offer this service to our FCTC clients. Reviews can be done on both corporate and non-corporate files at your premises, with the time spent on individual clients recorded to enable you to recharge the time to the client(s) should you wish.
The time spent at the office by our consultants can also be used for partners or staff to ask any existing queries or planning points they have on individual clients.
